So
you already have a virtual server somewhere, but you want to now
develop WAP services...
You
think you need to find a company who specialise in WAP Hosting,
but you might be making a costly mistake. You might already be able
to host WAP pages on your current server.
If
you have access to your server's configuration files, the simple
addition of five new mime types will allow
your server to deliver WAP content.
In any case
- head over to http://ParadoxCafe.NET
and see what a good deal you could get on all types of hosting.

HOW
TO SERVE WAP CONTENT
It
is perfectly possible to run *.wml pages along side *.html pages
on the same server. You just have to reconfigure your server with
the appropriate Mime Types.
SERVER
CONFIGURATION
IF you can get access to your APACHE server configuration files,
look for a file called mime.types. This is usually in www/conf/mime.types.
Just add the following 5 mime types to the end of this file:
text/vnd.wap.wml
Wml
Application/vnd.wap.wmlc Wmlc
text/vnd.wap.wmlscript Wmls
Application/vnd.wap.wmlscriptc Wmlsc
image/vnd.wap.wbmp wbmp
This
means that any file with *wml and above extensions will be recognisable
as such by a WAP phone connecting to your server.

You
can also search the WAP
section here on ParadoxCafe.com for more resources.
You
could also ask your ISP to add these mime types for you. If you
cannot reconfigure your server, we can rent some space to you.
